Mike Soto

Raleigh Attorney

Mike Soto is the founder of The Soto Law Firm. He focuses on helping individuals with cases involving Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury (including Auto Accidents). The Soto Law Firm is designed to take advantage of Mike’s experience, knowledge, and perspective.

Mike began his career at one of the leading North Carolina defense firms representing clients ranging from large Fortune 500 companies and major insurance companies to small independent business owners. Through the hundreds of cases he handled, Mike developed a vast range of experience with workers’ compensation claims from back injuries to occupational hearing loss. He was also able to learn some of the common mistakes and errors made by business owners that can make a bad situation worse.

Mike then joined one of the largest plaintiff’s firms in North Carolina. He was able to use his experience and knowledge of “the other side” to counsel people who needed guidance in navigating the challenging workers’ compensation system. By connecting and building relationships with each client, he quickly realized that both he and his clients benefit by establishing trust, working together to develop individualized goals, and having a more satisfying experience.

Raised in a military family, Mike lived in many different places but spent a good part of his youth growing up in Goldsboro. After graduating from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT, he came back to North Carolina for law school at Wake Forest University. Mike now makes his home in the Triangle with his wife and their two boys.

Mike is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He has volunteered his time with the Council for Children’s Rights and the “Attorney for a Day” program with the 26th Judicial District SelfServe Center. From 1993 to 2005, Mike served in the United States Army Reserve. His military career included a year of active duty service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom.
